We recognised that the management of occupational health andsafety (OH&S) is the responsibility of everyone, and have made the issue integral to the everyday running of the company.
Through our OH&S management systems we aim to eliminate or minimise risk to employees and other interested parties within the boundaries of our business activities.
We consistently strive to implement, maintain and continually improve our management system to assure conformance to our stated policy and objectives.
We are committed to implementing and maintaining the widest range
of quality management systems and processes, not just those
required by ISO 9001:2000
Our OH&S management system includes commitments to:
- perform risk assessments for all our work activities and ensure that these are also provided by those carrying out work on
our behalf; - maintain every place of work under the Group's control in a condition that is safe and free from risk to health;
- provide instruction, training and supervision as necessary to ensure the health and safety at work of all employees;
- provide suitable facilities and arrangements for the welfare of employees at work;
- safeguard visitors to all areas within the Group's control, as well as any member of the public who may be affected by our activities;
- ensure that all information concerning the safe operation of our sites and services is provided to our sub-contractors and other external bodies; and
- ensure that frequent safety inspections are carried out, frequent safety inspections are carried out and, where required, prompt remedial action is taken.
