"...actively working to reduce the impact of our actions on the environment to the lowest practical minimum..."
A commitment to sustainability and the quality of the built environment is an integral part of Linford Group's business strategy. At the heart of everything we do is the conviction that environmental best practice and an improved service to clients can, and indeed must, go hand-in-hand. We have adopted an Environmental Management System aligned with BS EN ISO 14001:2004, which provides a framework to control and manage the most significant environmental aspects of our activities. By introducing new, more efficient working practices within our business, we are constantly seeking to reduce the impact of our actions on the environment to the lowest practical minimum. We fully support the principles of sustainable development in construction, recognising that buildings and structures can have a significant impact on the use of non-renewable resources, energy and water in their construction and operation. We are committed to working with all stakeholders in meeting the challenge of implementing sustainable design and construction principles within a sound economic framework. On our own development projects we are focused on delivering sustainable buildings which go well beyond the requirements of current building regulations. The added value will be measured by savings in life cycle costs – with the ultimate aim of delivering truly carbon neutral buildings.
