Linford has an expert team of carvers who can deliver outstanding feature pieces in both wood
and stone. The carving studio works either as part of a wider restoration project or on individual commissions. We can repair existing stone carvings with replacement elements, carve new figures or pieces of architectural stonework from photographs or by in-house design, and reproduce complex pinnacles, capitals and friezes. Busts are a particular speciality. We can carve family members, corporate figures or a particular hero or heroine, either replicated an existing figure, working from photographs or producing a design for your approval. Our clients can choose a wood for a particular commission, or we can advise based on our experience of working with English Oak, Walnut, Lime, Cherry, Maple, Yew and many others.
