Nothing enhances the quality of a building like the very highest quality of joinery work, furniture or carving. No one understands this more than Linford. We have an enviable reputation for the design, production and installation of joinery and cabinet work, with a track record of producing items for a range of clients that includes The National Trust, the three Heritage Directorates of England, Scotland and Wales, private estates and country houses, and historic and royal palaces and castles. From our joinery workshops, our craftsmen provide the highest quality service on either a supply-only or supply-and-fix basis, working to architectural designs or designs of our own. We directly employ our own carpenters, joiners, carvers and decorators, and have an unrivalled commitment to training and the continuation of these traditional skills. This commitment was behind our role as one of the founders of the William Morris Craft Fellowship scheme, and later it was behind our decision to establish the Lichfield Centre for Master Crafts in 2004. This dedication to traditional craftsmanship has seen our joinery work secure many of prestigious industry awards, including: Europa Nostra Medal for outstanding conservation and restoration; Wood Awards highly recommended for Staircase House; Windsor Castle Medal struck specially in recognition of the quality of carving and repair; Premier Carpenters Company Award; RIBA Conservation Award; and RICS Building Conservation Award.   Our specialist joinery work ranges from major restoration and repair projects on historical buildings through to specialist work in architectural fine joinery, cabinet work and carving.
